Quay Appointments are recruiting for our NSW Government client for an experienced Contract Administration in the Shared Services department.

Purpose of role:

You will be responsible for the daily management support and administration of a variety of contracts and contractors including maintaining the contract register, contractor liaison, development of service level agreements, contract review and renewal. The position monitors contractual obligations and expected service standards and identifies situations that may attract contractual penalties and can arrange to make deductions from contract payments.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist with the development of tender documentation, evaluation and contract award processes for discrete contracts and supply agreements
  • Assist with the development of service level agreements to ensure reliability, availability and continual cost effectiveness improvement
  • Provide ongoing contract management including a contract register, contractor performance reports, advice on variations, disputes management
  • Identify initiatives to improve contract administration and provision of services
  • Liaise with contractors to exchange information, organise meetings, address enquiries, build relationships and resolve difficulties
  • Ensure that comprehensive records relating to past and present contracts are maintained and available
  • Monitor contractor's compliance with the contract to ensure that required services are delivered according to agreed service levels and quality standards
  • Assist in the identification and resolution of circumstances attracting contractual penalties
  • Develop and implement a system to monitor the safety performance of contractors
  • Plan and prepare processes and timetables for contract renewals and reviews

Essential requirements for the role:

  • Excellent organisational skills and time management skills
  • Excellent prioritisation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in high volume workload
  • Administration experience is essential
  • Experience with an ERP system (preferably SAP system but not essential)
  • Purchasing/Sourcing background (preferred but not essential)
