Randstad are currently recruiting for a Senior Advisor in a State Government Department. Due to an increased workload they require a contractor for this newly created role in the Governance team. It is essential that the successful candidate is highly experienced in supporting very senior members of staff - from Ministers and Secretaries to CEO’s of statutory authorities. A background in transport or infrastructure would be highly desirable.
Duties:
- Perform the secretariat function for committees
- Review the compliance and performance of the agencies
- Implement a performance reporting framework for the multiple agencies and build a meeting cycle to go with this
Skills/Experience:
- Government experience is highly desirable
- Previous experience in supporting and working with very senior staff members
- An understanding or knowledge of transport and infrastructure within government would be very desirable
