The Senior Social Policy Analyst is a newly created position in the Social Policy and Strategy team and presents an excellent opportunity for an experienced social policy analyst to be a part of shaping the future of this region and creating the solutions for growth in South East Queensland. 
 
This position is responsible for providing professional expertise and advice to Council on all matters relating to social policy.  This includes developing best practice social policies and strategies, analysing secondary data to identify areas of social need and socio-economic trends, coordinating critical analysis into existing and emerging social issues within the community and coordinating responses to requests for socio-demographic and/or social policy information. 
 
The ideal candidate will possess tertiary qualifications in Social Sciences or a related discipline, expertise in social policy and data analysis, success in collaborating with and influencing a broad range of stakeholders, substantial project management experience and skills in producing written documentation of a high standard.  A current Queensland “C” Class driver’s licence is required. A strong track record in senior team member roles, excellent negotiation skills and proven quantitative analytical skills would be highly regarded.   


 
This is a permanent full-time position with a salary range of $93,287 to $98,937 per annum, plus a Council contribution to superannuation of up to 12%.
