ABOUT THE ROLE

This well- known government organisation has a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Branch Coordinator to assist their team on a part time basis (2days per week) for the next 3 months.

The successful candidate will support and back up the ongoing Senior Branch Coordinator who works 4 days a week.

Primary purpose of the role

The Senior Branch Coordinator coordinates the provision of diverse administrative support and related services for the Branch including the budget development process, financial and human resource management activities, administrative and information management systems; and supervises administrative support staff and undertakes administrative related projects as directed, to support the efficient day to day operations of the Branch.

DUTIES

  • Coordinate the Branch’s budget, including the allocation process, ensuring effective financial management systems are in place; monitor the Branch’s expenditure and advise the Branch Director and Managers regarding financial performance to ensure compliance with financial management protocols and targeted funding of Branch plans and priorities.
  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of effective administrative support systems, guidelines, protocols and procedures for the Branch, in line with EPA requirements, to ensure consistent, efficient and effective operations are implemented across the Branch.
  • Facilitate Branch strategic planning, collating data, and ensuring the accurate reporting and monitoring of Branch performance against Corporate and Divisional Plans, Key Performance Indicators, Annual Report and work health and safety requirements.
  • Supervise direct reports, including allocating work and appraising performance and facilitate their ongoing development to ensure work undertaken is focussed on Branch priorities and quality standards are met.
  • Review and advise the Branch Director on staffing, human resource management issues, office accommodation, equipment and operating resources (including vehicle fleets) to ensure effective workings of the Branch on a day-to-day basis; collate human resource information from all Branch sections and respond to requests from Stakeholder Engagement and Governance Branch for input to EPA information requests.
