Your new company
A Local Council in Melbourne's North, committed to improving the local community, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to deliver a range of end-to-end capital works projects in the Building Industry.
Your new role
The Council is seeking a Senior Capital Works Building Project Manager to oversee concurrent building projects from end to end. These may including new builds, refurbishments, redevelopments, and maintenance projects between the values of $5m - $10m. This end to end process will include:
- New build, refurbishment and redevelopment projects to buildings
- Feasibility studies and scoping of works
- Developing and adhering to budgets
- Tendering - writing documents and evaluating tenders
- Engaging with Consultants and contractors
- Reviewing documentation
- Overseeing construction
- Managing stakeholder expectations to align with project scope
- Managing defects and liability periods
What you'll need to succeed
To experience success in this role, you will have demonstrated experience in completing end to end capital works building programs. You must also:
- Possess excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Have a customer-driven mindset to establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
- Have the ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
- Provide clear advice on project status/planning
- Be approachable and willing to collaborate effectively with others
- Have a technical qualification in Architecture, Engineering, Construction or related field
- Have demonstrated experience in managing multiple capital works building projects, ideally within a Government environment.
