The Business Unit

Presenter Services sits within the Performing Arts pillar is responsible for the planning, sales and event management of activities by all hirers of Arts Centre Melbourne performance venues and public site.

The business unit is comprised of venue sales and business development and account management to ensure a central touch point for all clients across all areas of the business.

Key outcomes are venue utilisation, planning, ACM invested project support and event delivery to ensure venue activity meets relevant organisation targets and support for event delivery is of high standard and attracts repeat business.

About the Position
As the Account Manager, Presenter Services you will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of an event including contract execution, budget estimates, services, information, assessments and other resources to achieve the agreed objectives on time and within budget. The role advocates on behalf of the customer while reconciling the needs of the various stakeholders and brokering the interface with the Arts Centre Melbourne departments.

To be successful you will require:

  • Relevant professional or tertiary qualification in arts or general management, or equivalent professional experience in the entertainment industry, ticketing services, event or venue management.
  • Ability to deliver a high level of customer service with a pro-active approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills, including planning and prioritisation;
  • Demonstrated capacity and initiative in the planning and facilitation of events with an ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Experience in building strong relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates initiative and ability to work both autonomously and as part of a small team
