The Reserve Bank of Australia pursues national economic policy objectives and undertakes a range of associated activities in financial markets and banking. It also issues Australia's banknotes and operates infrastructure critical to the payments system. Those who are involved in the activities of the Bank have an important role to play in achieving these objectives, whether directly or in a supporting role.

The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for testing of Policy and Markets systems in line with the business and technical requirements. You will participate in the planning, preparation, execution and completion of testing while also contributing to tracking and reporting. This role may also see you contribute to the implementation and ongoing support of automated testing tools and automated test scripts. Other responsibilities will include:

• Planning and executing testing related deliverables across various test levels that include both functional and non-functional testing.
• Developing and maintaining testing artefacts including progress reporting as appropriate.
• Working with the team to drive quality improvements particularly in the testing space, to ensure a consistent approach to testing
• Sharing testing practices with other areas of the Bank to improve the standards and consistency of testing across the Bank.

To be successful in this role you will hold a relevant degree or have proven and extensive experience in a similar role with proven knowledge of industry standards and best practice.

You will pride yourself on your ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders and bring with you experience in test execution, the review of business and non-functional requirements, preparation of test plans, test cases and test summary reports. You will have an understanding of the software development lifecycle and knowledge of all phases of testing. You will bring with you hands-on Agile experience and an advanced knowledge of Test automation tools and frameworks such as HP QTP / UFT is desirable.

It would be a considerable advantage if you also had:

• Exposure to a variety of database, programming languages and operating systems, especially SQL, VB Scripts and Windows operating system.
• Understanding of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing concepts.
• Experience with Data and Systems Migration, and Production Implementation of new systems.
• Ability to analyse business requirements and document test cases and scenarios.
