What you'll be doing

Plan and deliver quality clinical care in a caseload Midwifery Group Practice (MGP) model for an annual caseload of up to 35 women, during the antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal period.
Work flexible hours as part of an on-call roster.

Skills and Knowledge

  • Current midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care with demonstrated capacity to interact with a multidisciplinary team in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
  • Demonstrated application of evidence based practice and critical thinking to advocate for and implement individualised person centred care patient care.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage autonomous caseload and flexible on-call hours within an on-call model of care.
  • Excellent competency and proficiency as a midwife in antenatal, labour, birth and postnatal care, lactation and infant feeding with an understanding of effective escalation and emergency Midwifery care.
  • Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients and families and employees to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
  • Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills, and willingness to apply and share professional expertise with colleagues.
  • CCurrent license to drive in NSW.
