What you'll be doing

Manage operational nursing and midwifery service delivery, culture and service improvements to achieve quality patient outcomes, sustainable access and collaboration in health care.

Skills and Knowledge

  1. Current nursing/midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with appropriate qualifications in management from Post Graduate to tertiary (Masters level) or working towards same.
  2. Demonstrated leadership skills including conflict resolution, mediation and negotiation, and the ability to motivate, inspire and manage staff to achieve service and professional goals through recognised change management processes.
  3. Proven ability to function effectively as part of a senior management team and to work successfully with other professionals and disciplines in the management of health care services.
  4. Broad clinical experience and operational management expertise at a senior level within a health care environment, including strategic planning, the development, implementation & evaluation of organisational Strategic & Business Plans and Project Management.
  5. Ability to identify, evaluate and incorporate emerging trends within the profession of nursing to contribute to strategic planning.
  6. Evidence of successful achievement in financial management & the ability to develop financial efficiency strategies and achieve goals.
  7. Demonstrated understanding of the role, function & funding of public hospital within the Australian and NSW Health Systems.
