Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Procurement Specialist to join this public-sector organisation on a 3-month contract in the Sydney’s Inner West. The primary purpose of this position is to deal with requests for Procurement transactions.
 
 
About the role:

• Undertake and manage procurement projects (including goods and services related) and transactions, including managing of tenders, evaluation and contract award;
• Provide best practice procurement advice to stakeholders and maintenance of an internal procurement framework that is in line with the NSW to minimise risk and achieve best value for money for the agency in its procurement activities;
• Contribute to the planning, development and management of the category management plans;
• Contributes to the development of and improvement to procurement policies, processes and operational documents;
• Coordinate and manage the development, implementation and delivery of procurement contract strategies in line with the NSW Government’s procurement objectives.

 
Essentials:

• Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and recent experience in procurement in NSW Government setting;
• Procurement experience in the Construction industry;
• Experience in working with tenders, quotes and new requests;
• Demonstrated experience in managing strategic and high-volume procurements and having a deep understanding of the NSW Government Agency Accreditation Scheme.
