About the role:

This role provides an exceptional opportunity to develop engaging family programs to activate the new spaces that will become available upon completion of the ambitious Vision 2020 redevelopment project to transform State Library Victoria.

The Library is seeking a creative and experienced Family Programs Coordinator to plan, develop and deliver programs and resources for children (aged 0 to 12 years old), their families and the professionals who support them, in accordance with strategic objectives and operational plans.

The successful applicant will have experience in early childhood education, an understanding of reading promotion and literacy development, and hold a strong commitment to the continuous learning of all members of the community. They will also have a proven track record of children's programming and community engagement.

High level organisational skills are required, including the ability to develop, plan and event manage programs, set and monitor budgets and schedules and prepare project documentation. High-level written skills and relationship management skills are a must. Working in a small team, the successful applicant must also demonstrate the ability to be flexible and agile, and be able to juggle competing priorities and problem-solve.
