About the role
Our Transport team are now digital! Our Truck Drivers are allocated a mobile device to complete pre departure vehicle checks, view their jobs for the day with a map of where to go and it also reminds the drivers of when they are required to take a break as safety is important and we take care of our people.
As a Truck Driver for Australia Post, you will be responsible for:
- Driving trucks safely and efficiently in line with daily duty boards to pick up and deliver ULDs (unit load device – or the cage used to transport mail) between operational centres and customer premises
- Completing daily vehicle maintenance checks before you hit the road
What are we looking for?
- Drivers that have a minimum of a HR licence
- Minimum of 12 months driving experience in a HR vehicle
- An effective communicator with outstanding customer service skills
- A team player that is resilient, is accountable and understands the importance of chain of command
- Ability to undergo pre-employment checks including medical, drug and alcohol screening, references and police checks.
Rate of pay:
- $24.15 base rate + shift penalty rates (e.g. day shift $27.75)
- Tonnage + meal allowances
- 12% super
- Weekend rates and overtime rates
- Sick leave, annual leave and other benefits
