The critical functions of the role are:

This role is responsible for leading exceptional staff in a high-volume customer service environment assisting consumers and traders understand their rights and responsibilities under the Australian Consumer Law and the other pieces of legislation we administer.

The team works to tight time frames with KPI targets and the manager provides direction in responding quickly to changing circumstances and priorities and leadership in the provision of consistent, high quality service delivery.

Management of the team includes coaching and mentoring staff, supporting career development, maintaining the team?s knowledge of current Fair Trading legislation & regulations and reviewing staff performance.

You will also be working as a member of a team of managers across NSW. The managers monitor, analyse and evaluate work volumes, report new/emerging issues/trends and translate legislative and organizational requirements into operational policies and procedures and provide community education.

The manager positively contributes to the development and implementation of strategies to raise community awareness of rights and responsibilities by building and developing partnerships with key stakeholders and external service providers.

This position is responsible for the management of staff across four Fair Trading Centre locations including Port Macquarie, Armidale, Coffs Harbour and Tamworth therefore regular travel is required.
