The Senior Economist will provide leadership as part of a small, multi-skilled team which supports the delivery of priority projects across the environment portfolio through the provision of robust economic analysis and advice. This position will undertake qualitative and quantitative economic analyses, develop and apply appropriate analytical methodologies, and ensure resulting analysis and advice is robust, timely, and can be readily applied to policy development and decision-making.
The successful applicant will be highly motivated with a solid background in economic analysis, enabling them to apply economic concepts and frameworks to a broad range of environmental and natural resource management issues in Victoria. The successful applicant's strategic thinking and excellent interpersonal skills will also enable them to develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to influence Departmental policy making and programs.
If you have tertiary qualifications in economics or a related discipline, and demonstrated strong economic skills with the ability to integrate economic thinking with environmental policy making, you are strongly encouraged to apply.
