An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Strategic Projects, Partnerships and Planning Officer to join our team at the City of Boroondara on a full time, ongoing basis.

 

Your role with us

Reporting to the Manager Family, Youth and Recreation you will be responsible for managing strategic projects with a focus on the early years. You will also work across the broad range of services within Family, Youth and Recreation to proactively identify emerging community needs.

 

You will be responsible for

  • Contributing to the development of community infrastructure and relevant services through community engagement;
  • Conducting established early years planning initiatives;
  • Developing and maintaining strategic partnerships with key agencies and community groups;
  • Overseeing the delivery and performance of key community services linked to the provision of Council funds; and
  • Providing timely reports relating to key strategic projects

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring demonstrated relevant experience in managing strategic projects and playing a key role in the development of community infrastructure. Your proven skills and ability in analysing stakeholder needs and finding suitable solutions while using sound methodology will be paramount to your success in this role. You will possess a tertiary qualification in community development, education or a related field.
