Where you'll be working

You will be working with a diverse and dynamic team within Health System Support Group (HSSG). HSSG is a unit of the Public Health System Support Division of the Health Administration Corporation to provide services to support the public health system in implementing Government targets and programs.

The Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL) is a dedicated data linkage centre for NSW and the ACT. The CHeReL is committed to helping researchers, planners and policy makers access linked data from NSW and the ACT. We host a secure, high performing data linkage system - one of the largest of its kind in Australia - which facilitates high-quality research and health policy decisions


What you'll be doing

Provide a range of timely and efficient project support services for the day-to-day operations of the Centre for Health Record Linkage (CHeReL). This includes acting as the first point of contact for clients of the CHeReL to provide information about application processes, quotes and project status; maintaining spreadsheets, databases and project documentation; maintaining and updating the CHeReL website; and conducting literature searches and completing record linkage research project summaries to communicate the outcome of completed studies.

Selection Criteria:

  • Experience conducting literature searches and writing research study summaries
  • Experience working in a health research environment.
  • Strong organisational skills, the ability to successfully complete several tasks concurrently, maintain attention to detail and meet deadlines.
  • Sound written and oral communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and the capacity to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  • Experience in maintaining a high degree of confidentiality in dealing with sensitive material and information.
  • Experience in providing a broad range of administrative, project support and related executive support tasks.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office computing applications including word processing, Excel spreadsheet, database, presentation software such as PowerPoint and email.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and in a collaborative team-based work environment.
