On behalf of a local council based in the Inner suburbs, we are looking for an experienced and outgoing Local Government Administrator to assist within the Building Services department. This council is close to public transport and has a strong focus on excellent service delivery.
The key responsibilities of this varied role will be;
- Administrative support including letter writing and managing the departments’ inbox
- Data entry & filing
- Lodging building applications
- Providing excellent customer service – dealing with incoming queries
- Helping to implement Council policy & following procedures
To be successful in this temporary assignment you will;
- Have previous experience using Pathway or Authority
- Have working knowledge of the MS Office suite, specifically Excel
- Have excellent written and analytical ability, in particular with accurate spelling and alpha-numeric data entry
- Be able to work well under pressure
- Previous experience working within the Local Laws, Planning or Building department
- Work autonomously to specific deadlines while maintaining great accuracy
- Be hard-working, organized and able to prioritise your workload
