The Infrastructure Services Department is responsible for the provision of major projects and services across a broad range of areas within Council’s overall operations. The position plays a key role in contributing to the success of the Infrastructure Services Team.
This position is to, under the direction of the Coordinator of Parks and Operations (Maintenance), to directly supervise all maintenance staff and ensure they have the tools and support to carry out daily duties to fulfil community expectations and team goals.
This role will entail a daily and one week to one month outlook for job planning and leadership of a small team growing into a one year outlook, through additional training, as a grade 10.
This position is worked over a 9 day fortnight with all the securities of a permanent employment agreement.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA
- Ability to liaise with and co-ordinate with multi-disciplined teams to achieve outcomes within agreed time frames, a TEAM PLAYER.
- Experience in small scale project management.
- Experience in coordinating small teams.
- Experience in coordinating contractors and small scale projects/tasks.
- Experience in preparing project/task estimates.
- Experience in maintaining infrastructure. Community based assets are desirable however not essential.
- Current drivers licence – ‘C’ class
