The Manager, Water Resources is a key member of the Bureau's Water Program leadership team. The Manager will lead a multi-disciplinary team accountable for driving many of the Bureau’s end-to-end business relationships with Australia's water sector, delivering a range of groundwater and surface water resource assessments. You will be responsible for building on the Bureau's long-term existing partnership with the sector, and deliver differentiated solutions that meet the needs of water sector customers.
You will be highly experienced in leading teams to transform science and technical capability into application within a customer environment. You will have a proven record of working in partnership with customers and collaborators to understand and articulate complex business needs in order to deliver relevant and high-value solutions. Strong communicating skills, with extensive national and international networks, a results focus and the ability to grow value for the Water Program against an agreed set of KPIs is highly desirable.
To be successful in this challenging role you will have a deep understanding of Australia's water sector across industry and government, and high-level communication and customer engagement skills. You will also have an ability to translate technical concepts into user-friendly language relevant to a customer environment. Your leadership style will be inclusive and supportive, and you will be able to drive change, innovation and collaboration.
