Council is seeking to engage a suitably experienced BUILDING SURVEYOR.
A vacancy exists within Council’s Strategy and Development department for the position of Building Surveyor. Based at the Freeling Office, the Building Surveyor will join a small dynamic team of professional staff charged with the responsibility of administering Council’s statutory obligations entailed within the Development Act/ Planning, Development and Infrastructure Act and the National Construction Code.
This position offers the successful applicant a broad range of diversity in the field of development assessment and related activities.
The successful applicant will hold current accreditation as issued by the Australian Institute of Building Surveyors National Accreditation Board (or equivalent) and hold at least 3 years’ (Level 2 AIBS Accreditation) experience. Furthermore, the successful applicant will possess a high level of both written and verbal communication skills and demonstrate a sense of willingness and enthusiasm to ensure quality outcomes are achieved in line with relevant legislation.
An attractive remuneration package will be offered to the successful candidate depending on experience and qualifications.
