The Corruption and Crime Commission (CCC) is a leading anti-corruption agency whose primary purpose is to improve the integrity of and reduce the incidence of serious misconduct and corruption in the Western Australian public sector.

The Operations Directorate supports the Commission in managing investigative activities. The three business units, Investigations, Electronic Collection and Surveillance, work together to proactively identify and investigate allegations of serious misconduct. The focus of the Commission's investigative activity is on systemic and complex matters, many of which require the use of specialist capabilities.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Deputy Director Investigations leads the Commission's investigative function and is responsible for the effective and efficient completion of serious misconduct investigations through the application of the Corruption, Crime and Misconduct Act 2003. The Commission will soon receive powers under the Criminal Property Confiscation Act 2000 to investigate unexplained wealth.

This opportunity has arisen due to the Deputy Director Investigations relocating inter-state.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL

This extremely interesting and diverse role will be attractive to someone who has expertise in contemporary investigations methodology and experience in leading investigative and intelligence capabilities.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or be immediately eligible for Australian Citizenship. Appointment is conditional on satisfactory completion of a rigorous security clearance process.
