Chief Revenue Officer

The Australian National Maritime Museum (ANMM) is Australia’s leading centre for maritime collections, exhibitions, research and archaeology.  It is a pivotal time in ANMM’s history, as the Museum looks to future growth and funding to deliver on its vision as a world leader in maritime heritage.  ANMM presents a stimulating and changing program to share Australia’s maritime history and connect the stories, objects, people and places that are part of our country’s narrative.

Reporting to the Museum’s Director, the Chief Revenue Officer will play a critical Divisional leadership role in developing and implementing a five year Commercial Development and Revenue Generation Strategy that supports ANMM’s long-term commercial sustainability and corporate objectives, and utilises and develops the precinct’s unique land and water based assets and prominent Darling Harbour location.  Other opportunities include the optimisation of current revenue streams related to exhibitions, venues, education, fleet utilisation, strategic partnerships, leasing and contract management arrangements.

The successful candidate will possess strong commercial acumen and proven success in growing revenue in a significant institution such as a public destination, cultural organisation or commercial enterprise to increase visitor attraction potential and assure long term sustainability. We are looking for a talented leader with outstanding communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills to lead strategy and commercial business case development, facilitate funding to realise new commercial opportunities, build capacity and relationships and implement effective and efficient controls.
