The role has a specific focus on the building and provision of a range of reports, apps, tools and dashboards, and the training of BIEU and other relevant staff in using products. This includes establishment of datamart, data linkage support to sites to achieve the business and service objectives. The incumbent will adopt a project management approach to the work required.
The primary purpose of the role is to provide expert advice and undertake technical design, planning for organisational Business Information and Data infrastructure within the Business Intelligence and Efficiency Unit (BIEU).
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in IT or systems engineering and experience in developing BI Tools in an Enterprise environment, particularly with expertise in implementing Qlik View / QlikSense.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on complex Business Intelligence requirements, to tell a story and drive analytics solutions; including analytical concepts, data, visualisation techniques including presenting data for clinical, corporate and research.
- Demonstrated high level technical expertise and experience in data systems, including data mart building and maintaining to support the reporting environment, data extraction, analysis, and industry standard data infrastructure.
- Advanced computer skills required to manipulate and analyse large amounts of data using software such as Visual Studio, MS Access, MS excel, SQL Server, Minitab or Business Objects.
- Team player with highly developed communication, interpersonal and influencing skills including effective working relationships with senior management, and other key stakeholders.
- Demonstrated high level analytical and problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated project management skills to undertake and lead BI project, including managing scope.
- Current Drivers’ License.
