The VBA are seeking a Senior Communications Advisor who is responsible for management of the stakeholder engagement framework, ongoing production of the VBA Mail stakeholder eNewsletter, management of the sponsorship program and management of the VBA events program.
The Senior Communications Advisor partners with various internal stakeholders to assist in the development of communication strategies that will improve the efficiency of core programs.
Key Selection Criteria
To be successful in this position, you will need to demonstrate:
- Significant experience in a similar role preferably at a regulatory body managing the stakeholder engagement or relations function.
- Excellent writing and editing skills with demonstrated experience in writing engaging stories for various target audiences, including, online, speeches, publications, with high-level attention to detail using various presentation packages especially PowerPoint.
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to liaise and consult across all levels, and effectively identify, manage and resolve issues, issues or problems.
- Demonstrated problem solving skills including the ability to analyse issues, liaise with stakeholders, draw conclusions and implement effective interventions and solutions.
- Proven ability to think strategically about communications and issues, and develop strategic responses, plans and outcomes.

Salary Details
Base salary in the Grade 5 range of $95,275 - $115,276 per annum (plus 9.5% super), will be negotiated with the successful candidate, depending on skills and experience.
