Based in beautiful Hervey Bay, an opportunity exists for an experienced individual with significant civil engineering knowledge and great communication skills to join Council’s Infrastructure Planning team.
The successful candidate will assist the Executive Manager in providing the expertise necessary for Council to manage investigations of Council’s infrastructure assets. A key objective of this role is to undertake all aspects of investigations into Council’s transport and stormwater assets, and in turn apply engineering standards and best practices to solutions put forward.
They will be a great communicator who provides accurate and thorough advice to Council departments, as well as to members of the public in relation to investigation outcomes.
The successful candidate will hold a qualification in a Civil Engineering related field, and have extensive experience working within a Civil Engineering environment. Ideally this experience will have been gained within the context of Local Government infrastructure. Possession of a current QLD Class C drivers’ licence is essential.
Applicants with an Associate Diploma in Civil Engineering, or higher, will be highly regarded.
