The role:
As the Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for leading, implementing and managing facilities maintenance programs for a leading NSW Government department.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the development and implementation of a facilities management program and a group of facilities staff to ensure that local site specific requirements are effectively addressed and managed and that all
  time, cost, scope, risk and quality requirements are addressed and program activities meet public sector probity, administrative standards and legislative requirements.
• Manage and monitor Facilities Management contractors to ensure performance is in accordance with the contract requirements and the delivery of work adheres to agreed time frames, budgets and quality
  of work.
• Manage the facility maintenance aspects of the Department's Assets and Infrastructure portfolio of properties to ensure that operational, maintenance standards and relevant legislative requirements are met.
• Manage the financial allocations for programs and recommend priorities for allocations within the Department's capital and recurrent funding program to ensure that agency goals and objectives are achieved.
• Provides expert professional advice to stakeholders, Department colleagues and business centres to enable informed decision making and to support staff in the performance of their duties.

Essential Requirements:

• Tertiary qualifications in building, engineering, asset management, facilities maintenance, construction and engineering based projects or demonstrated equivalent experience in a heritage environment.
• Extensive knowledge of facilities maintenance, asset management, building principles & standards and environmental and heritage issues.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Be able to build co-operation and overcome barriers to information sharing and communication and collaboration across the organisation and cross government.
