The Land and Built Environment Group provides opportunities to make a positive impact on Victoria's natural environment and communities while offering its employees variety of work and challenges. The position will lead governance and support services to committees of management to enable them to deliver their Crown land management responsibilities in a way that is sustainable and maximises social, environmental and economic benefits to the state and the community.
This is a significant role in DELWP Hume region that is designed to deliver greatly enhanced levels of support to the region's large number of volunteer committees.
We're looking for a dynamic person with a genuine interest in community and the ability to connect positively and establish strong relationships. This is an opportunity to join a strong and supportive team and make a real difference to volunteer committees of management across the Hume region.
Your key tasks will be to lead a project to improve the capacity and capability of public land committees of management and provide land and built environment services to committees of management to support sustainable, effective and efficient public land governance and stewardship.
In addition to the standard demonstration of strong stakeholder management, change management and project management skills, you will be strategically minded and able to improve the management of Crown land; and focus on recognising and valuing the significant contribution of volunteers towards the management of public land.
This is a fixed term position until 30 June 2020.
