Transport for NSW integrates planning and service delivery across all modes of transport in NSW. Our workforce of 28,000 is delivering the largest transport infrastructure program this nation has ever seen - $41.5 billion of investment for game-changing projects while we deliver some of the most complex infrastructure and service-delivery challenges faced anywhere.
As new infrastructure comes on-line and our operations move into the digital age, the shape of the skills in our workforce will change and we’re redefining our talent management practices to be ready. We have crafted a fresh approach; client-facing talent acquisition integrated with talent management, sourcing, technology, branding, planning, projects, workforce development and diversity.
We have already delivered major improvements – we’ve slashed process times, revolutionised service models, piloted new ways of working and proved the value of progressive talent acquisition and management to the organisation and now we’re looking for the right people to join us on the next stage of the journey.
The opportunity
We have a newly-created role for an innovative and inclusive leader to bring fresh thinking to our team and improved service to our customers. There are multiple opportunities within the transport cluster; currently we are looking for Manager Talent Operations for Sydney Metro, RMS, and TfNSW.
The Manager Talent Operations leads and directs the embedded agency team of Talent Specialists to enable talent planning and management and deliver efficient and effective operational recruitment services to the Transport Cluster operating agencies ensuring exceptional candidate and hiring manager experiences. They act as the key point of contact for the Talent Centre of Expertise service lines

You will enjoy change and see new ways of doing things, you should challenge convention to build and improve on existing practice. You’ll get a spring in your step from delivering outcomes for clients and spare them the complexity of how you got there.
A commitment to quality and ability to do the detail without losing sight of the bigger picture is important. You’ll be resilient, energetic, committed to getting it right but without losing your perspective and humour. In your new role you will build and maintain strong collaborative relationships with key stakeholders throughout the Cluster operating agencies to develop talent strategies and plans to ensure timely and effective resolution of issues.
You will lead and direct a team of talent specialists to provide efficient and effective operational recruitment services to Transport Cluster. We are looking to fill multiple roles within Sydney Metro, RMS, Transport for NSW. We are keen to see applications from generalist recruiters and those with specialist backgrounds in technical and engineering recruitment.
