Our highly regarded Local Government client is looking to recruit a Development Compliance Officer to join their Regulatory Services team. The position, based in outer north Brisbane, will be commencing ASAP. This temporary assignment will be for an initial period of 6 weeks with the probability of further extension.
The role will undertake all aspects of development compliance functions and enforcement activities associated with unlawful development and undertake investigations in relation to breaches of building, planning and other legislation. As a front-line representative of Council, you would be required to demonstrate excellent communication skills and exhibit a professional and courteous manner when dealing with members of the public.
To be considered for this role you will need to possess proven skills, experience and knowledge in the following areas:
- Solid experience fulfilling a similar role within Local Government
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent communication skills including demonstrated professional report writing skills
Ideally you will also possess:
- Blue/White Card - Construction
- QLD Pool Safety Inspector accredited
- Certification IV or Diploma qualifications in a relevant field
