Do you have experience in the principles, implementation and application of GIS methodologies? Plus have an eye for detail, a great work ethic and a positive approach?
Located 250kms north of Brisbane and centred on the twin cities of Hervey Bay and Maryborough, the Fraser Coast region is home to 100,000 residents and a thriving mixed-business economy. It is also one of Queensland’s most stunning natural environments which include the world heritage listed Fraser Island.
The successful applicant will provide asset information services to all sections of Council. The role will coordinate asset data management for GIS spatial asset data and synchronising with the Asset Management System (AMS).
To succeed in this role the successful applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in GIS, Engineering or related field;
- Demonstrated experience in asset management;
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing asset management framework and reporting processes;
- Excellent verbal and written communication with the ability to consult, interact with internal and external customers;
- Ability to manage competing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- A team leader mentality and ability to mentor and guide staff.
A Queensland Class “C” drivers’ licence is essential.
