Rare and exciting opportunity to play a key role in developing and enhancing the urban forest of City of Port Phillip’s iconic streets, foreshore and parklands!
About the opportunity
You will be responsible for providing technical expertise and advice on Urban Forest planning to internal and external customers and stakeholders. You will co-ordinate and develop integrated designs and programs for streetscapes and park tree planting upgrades to achieve optimum future canopy cover. You will deliver each project and lead community consultation and provide education on the Urban Forest strategy.
About You
To ensure success in this role you will demonstrate the following:
- A suitable tertiary qualification plus five years’ experience in Arboriculture, Horticulture or Landscape Architecture
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
- Ability to exercise personal judgement within agreed standards and effectively communicate decisions
