Our clients is a leading Gas and related asset infrastructure company with national reach and growing portfolio of operational assets under ownership.  Critical to their ongoing performance is the leadership and execution of asset management, routine and preventative maintenance across their lineal gas assets and critical equipment.  They operate in a range of regions in Australia and have an ongoing challenge to provide exceptional service, reliable infrastructure and ensuring that roles such as this drive strong leadership and business outcomes for the company.

This is achieved through a large and professional workforce and management group.  Critical is their ability to source professional trades and engineering talent to manage, maintain and develop their lineal infrastructure from pipes to complex equipment across mechanical, electrical and civil disciplines.  This new role is all about leading a group of trades (Mech and Elect/E&I) across this Western and South Western region of Victoria, so travelling and overseeing performance of the maintenance and other projects is key to this role.  Based predominantly from Dandenong at their offices, you will balance leading and working with your team on locations, working in corporate on ensuring your financial and business planning is being met, and engaging with colleagues to optimise performance across your region.
You need to be actively leading and motivating this team to deliver outcomes in a quality, safe and reliable manner.  You will be in charge of performance of your people, relationships with clients and managing the costs and schedules of all relevant work management.   In this particular role we need a proven leader and someone that can manage in a strong capacity where needed, as well as developing talent and motivating your team. 
Your background is ideally from a relevant trade or degree in engineering from either electrical/mechanical or civils, have an understanding of managing routine maintenance and preventative maintenance at an operational management level; engaging with your team of well experienced and qualified trades, working to execute a challenging workflow and sparse asset geography.  You have a tenacious and determined style, a clear desire to gain outcomes through your team management, and will have a capacity to make decisions on customer, employee and asset challenges in a robust and professional manner.
