ABOUT THE ROLE
Reporting to the Asset Planning and Development Manager this opportunity will work across the Projects, Maintenance and assets teams to provide technical engineering design and advice on various civil Infrastructure assets, in particular wharves, bridges and roads.
ABOUT YOU
You will have proven engineering and technical management experience of various infrastructure assets across multi-disciplinary capital and maintenance programs.
Your key responsibilities will be:
- Determine and review allowable engineering load limits on wharves, roads and other port related assets are up to date and accurate at all times
- Assist with the management of infrastructure assets and provide expert advice on asset maintenance and projects
- Process heavy vehicle access permit applications and identify any gaps between road network capacity and demand in terms of geometric design standards and axle loadings
- Ensure roads, wharves and marine structures comply with all relevant legislative requirements
Your key competencies will include:
- Significant experience in civil and structural engineering of maintenance and capital infrastructure assets, such as wharves, bridges and roads
- Demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage several multi-disciplinary engineering projects
- Ability to drive continuous improvements to existing systems and practices
- Extensive problem solving and analytical skills
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or related field, or relevant experience
