With a customer focused culture and a commitment to providing first class services to their residents, this forward thinking council are looking for an experienced Traffic/Transport Engineer to join their team on a contract basis.
Working with the City Development team you will:
- Take a lead role in the development and delivery of major transport infrastructure including road, public transport and sustainable transport.
- Support council when assessing and reviewing the impact of State funded programs and advocate for the best outcomes for council.
- Provide professional, accurate and technical advice on all matters relating to major transport project issues to both internal and external stakeholders.
As an experienced Traffic/Transport Engineer you will have ideally worked within Local Government, State Government or for an engineering consultancy. With a degree qualified Transport or Urban Planner you will have strong analytical skills and a high level of understanding and demonstrated ability in established traffic/transport planning practices and principles, policies and practices. You will also have major projects experience from concept and development phase.
This role will give you the opportunity to use your skills in customer centric organisation.
