The Role
The Network Development Officer supports the investigation, development and project consultation on Easing Sydney’s Congestion program of projects. Some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to;
- Support Network Development Managers project scoping and project development functions to ensure Easing Sydney’s Congestion projects meet Government and Roads and Maritime objectives.
- Assess projects ability to address integrated needs of freight, road-based public transport, pedestrians, cyclists and light vehicles.
- Support effective community involvement during the development phase of projects to ensure appropriate community consultation.
- Assess proposals to promote the highest need and best value for money projects are developed and prioritised to meet the objectives of integrated road transport management.
- Work in collaboration with the consultancy partnership to drive and ensure project concepts are delivered within intended scope, budget and timeframe.
- Facilitate progress of design and operational matters by liaising with other branches and sections of the Roads and Maritime, government departments and agencies
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in civil or traffic engineering or a related discipline.
- Project management experience in developing complex traffic and safety management projects.
- Analytical and conceptual skills with the ability to analyse traffic and safety information and develop solutions to complex traffic management and congestion problems including economic assessment.
- Experience in interpreting traffic modelling and an understanding of road network modelling.
