We are currently seeking an experienced Building Supervisor to join our Building team working on the Calvary Hospital, Adelaide. This is going to be the largest Private hospital in South Australia and a $300M build, so an exciting project to be apart. You will primarily be responsible for coordinating on-site teams to deliver scopes of work in accordance with project plans and specifications to achieve effective performance in accordance with detailed short-term programs and schedules within time and budget constraints.
You will also implement safety, quality and environmental controls, and identify and assess potential risks. Your stakeholder management skills and ability to engage with the community are crucial to success in this position.
Key accountabilities include;
- Coordinating the work and performance of multiple teams and subcontractors
- Reading and understanding plans, reviewing design documentation, reading drawings and providing constructive review for final designs
- Ensure contractual engagement mechanisms of sub-contractors
- Identifying and mitigating risks prior to works commencing
- Contribute to development of work methods, rolling short term construction programs and planning of daily/weekly production work
- Providing leadership in health, safety and environment management
- Building strong stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication to keep key personnel informed
- Completing progress reporting
- Ensuring compliance of commercial and financial costs including budgets
To be considered you will need to demonstrate the following;
- Trade qualification in a relevant discipline
- Minimum 5 years supervisory experience with a top-tier or mid-tier contractor on multi-disciplinary civil infrastructure projects $50m+
- People and performance management of subcontractors, suppliers and direct labour
- Ability to engage with community and lead stakeholder consultation
- Proven ability to communicate effectively to drive positive outcomes with key stakeholders
- Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills
