We are currently seeking a motivated individual to take up the position as the Materials Engineer in our Decor Division based at our Darra site.
This role will be responsible for product testing, material analysis and process validation of our Decor products.
Your core responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Material testing and analysis;
- Sample inspection and validation;
- Product evaluation, inspection, and benchmarking;
- Process trials and evaluate process performances;
- Design / fabricate jigs / fixtures for testing or trials;
- Document, record and report tests and trials;
- Prepare and distribute trial specimens.
About you:
- Experience with printing, packaging film, composites or polymer materials is essential.
- Experience in HPLS, Melamine or laminated sheet board manufacturing would be preferable.
- Tertiary degree in chemistry, material science or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to speak Mandarin would be a distinct advantage
- Proficient with MS Office, MS Project
- Proven Project Management Experience in leading a project from start to completion
- Practical industry experience ideally from within a manufacturing environment.
- Hands on approach.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, self-driven with excellent attention to detail.
- Be prepared to travel to meet suppliers, manufacturers and customers.
