EGR Decor is seeking an Project Engineer who will be located at our Darra facility. As we are continuing to experience strong growth and we see many more opportunities developing in the medium term through ongoing strategic brand investment, new product development and market channel expansion, we are looking for a reliable, hardworking person to join our dedicated manufacturing team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will be involved in the delivery of multiple projects, from concept to completion. The work activity is primarily project management, but may also incorporate some design and drafting as required. You will demonstrate your understanding and practical application of technical engineering design work in production flow lines as required, to meet the needs of the projects and  align with your level of experience.

Exceptional communication and technical writing skills including professional engineering reports, equipment specifications and documents are essential.

You will be responsible for:

  • Development of key process reliability measures
  • Project manage and report on divisional new Product Development activities
  • Provide process improvement support to our operations team for existing core products
  • Identifying and eliminating key issues that prevent production performance and inefficiencies
  • Ensuring you comply with all environmental, health and safety policies

Skills and experience required:

  • An Engineering degree or equivalent (preferably mechanical)
  • Strong plant reliability and maintenance experience
  • Proven Project Management Experience in leading a project from start to completion
  • Proficient with MS Office, MS Project and CAD would be preferable
  • Practical industry experience ideally from within a manufacturing environment
  • A proven successful track record in managing and improving machinery reliability in a high speed manufacturing environment
  • High level of problem solving discipline
  • A strong sense of urgency and attention to detail
  • Lean manufacturing operation exposure

To be successful you will have demonstrated flexibility, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work with others. You will hold a relevant formal engineering qualification, and have some demonstrable experience in a relevant industry. On the job support will be provided by other experienced team members, however a certain amount of autonomy is necessary.
