A local council based in Sydney’s inner south suburbs are looking to engage an experienced Development Engineer. The incumbent will need to provide technical advice on engineering matters. This is a initial 3 - 6 month contract with the possibility of extension.
To be successful in the position you will need to be capable of providing clear and accurate reports on the status of works, issues and tasks assigned to you.
Responsibilities
- Assess and condition development applications.
- Prepare specific conditions as required for inclusion in Development Consents.
- Inspect and assess completed flood and stormwater management and other civil engineering works for development.
- Undertake periodic review of the standard engineering conditions and engineering assessment policy and procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering
- Engineering experience relevant to development assessment.
- Working knowledge of planning legislation and regulations.
- Current Class C Driver's License
