Naval Group Australia has one singular focus - to design and build 12 state-of-the-art submarines for our country.
As we continue this undertaking, we are now looking for an Acoustic Signature Leader to live and work in France for a 3-5 year period. You will be part of a significant transfer of technology by Naval Group Australia and form part of our future design authority team.
As an Acoustic Signature Leader, your role will be to manage the acoustic signature of the Future Submarine for the Whole Warship Architect. You define and manage the verification and validation process for acoustic performance, for all equipment and the whole warship.
Role & Responsibilities:
- Specialise in the submarine acoustic discretion
- Conduct studies, manage subcontractors, support the design team and work closely with the Combat Systems Integrator
- Propose a verification and validation process, as well as manage acoustic tests and trials
- Support the shipyard for all questions related to this technical field
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor of Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- Master of Structural Engineering
- 10 years of experience in this field
- Knowledge of submarine platforms
Bring your experience of noise and vibration across machines and propellers to this role. You will explore anti-vibration equipment and technologies, as well as conduct tests and trials of acoustic performance. Knowledge of hydrodynamic noise of submarines will be an essential part of your application.
The successful applicant must be eligible for an Australian & French defence security clearances; where by Australian citizenship is required.
