ABOUT THE COMPANY.
Due to an increase in projects, this Local Council located within the North Sydney Region has opened a position for a Development Engineer to join their team. Working alongside industry leading professionals, this team gains exposure to both the design and development side of Civil Engineering.
ABOUT THE POSITION.
Reporting to the Design Manager, you will be responsible for the assessment and approval of multiple projects including subdivision, roads, traffic and storm water projects. Working alongside 7 other respected engineers, you will also provide advice on planning proposals in conjunction with Council guidelines.
DUTIES.
- Planning & building development assessments
- Analysis of DA's & CC's to meet Council requirements
- Provide technical advice to Clients and key stakeholders
- Prepare reports and referrals
- Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering is beneficial
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- Public sector experience is highly advantageous
- Strong attention to detail
