 Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics

GippsAero is an Australian utility aircraft manufacturing company and part of the global Mahindra Aerospace brand. With its operational and corporate base at Latrobe Regional Airport in Victoria, GippsAero's aircraft are unrivalled in terms of safety, cost and operating efficiency world-wide. 

We are seeking a suitably qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) Avionicsto join our team.  The successful applicant will share our genuine passion for aviation and join our dedicated engineering team. 

The role requires the incumbent to implement customer options, provide technical support to various departments. 

The Aircraft Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for

* Participate in the implementation of new customer options. 

* Incorporate first of type design modifications

* Perform tool calibration

* Provide AME support to the maintenance department

* Assist GA10 development team with design/build and implementation with avionics design and installation methods for electrical looms and avionics installations.

* Assist Production Avionics department with fault finding from installations, equipment failures, implementations of new equipment and labour support to customer avionics options

* Perform Level 2 and 3 inspections on production equipment and production aircraft

To be considered for this role, you must address the following selection criteria in your cover letter/ application:

  • Must have completed Cert IV in Aeroskills –  Avionics
  • Build and run looms using aerospace electrical hardware
  • Ability to read drawings
  • Previous experience in fault finding from installations and equipment failures
  • Demonstrated handskills, including soldering, crimping, lacing, harness construction and routing.

Please note: This position requires the successful candidate to relocate as required to work onsite, full time, at the GippsAero Facility in Morwell, Victoria.
