Key Accountabilities:
This role is positioned within our Secure Communications and Information Systems (SIX) business unit which delivers military ICT solutions, secure communications, electronic vehicle integration, cyber security, intelligence services and equipment support services.

Reporting to the Program Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for the system engineering activities required to conceive, realise and sustain new and innovative solutions for the business. You will also be accountable for the completion of a set of engineering tasks within committed cost, schedule, performance and quality by ensuring effective allocation of responsibilities. In addition you will manage risks and opportunities of design and development during bid phase and adhere to programme commitments, including those flown down to subcontractors and partners.

Your skills and experience
• Experience in management of engineering design or technical maintenance teams.
• Experience working with the Systems Engineering Process.
• Demonstrated, well-developed team leadership abilities.
• Experience working with Defence Information & Communication Technology (ICT) or similar complex electronic systems.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communications skills and analytical skills
• A high level of technical writing skills.

Special requirements
• Must hold Australian citizenship with a Defence security clearance to NV-1 level.
• Eligible to obtain authorisation to work with ITAR controlled equipment and technology
