Cardno is a professional infrastructure and environmental services company, with expertise in the development and improvement of physical and social infrastructure for communities around the world.

We are currently looking to recruit a Civil Designer with CAD and 12D design experience to join our Civil & Community Infrastructure team based at Carrara on the Gold Coast. With a wide range of civil infrastructure projects in the pipeline you will work with a team of professionals to deliver accurate and efficient design/drafting services.
 
Specifically, your duties will include –

• Participate in the delivery of projects and ensure output is of a high standard and within time and cost budget allocations
• Civil engineering design for land subdivision, road and drainage projects using 12D and AutoCAD
• Preparation of conceptual and formal design drawings in accordance with statutory requirements and standards
• Managing deliverables of a project including quality control and the coordination of drafting staff
• Providing input to the continuous improvement of our design and drafting standards
• Ensuring client expectations are met and exceeded

To be successful you will display –

• Demonstrated design experience within a consulting environment
• Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering will be highly regarded though not essential
• Demonstrated experience using design software including AutoCAD and 12D
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills with internal and external stakeholders to ensure delivery of innovative solutions that meet client and broader community expectations
