Asset/Facilities Project Engineer 

Lincoln Gap Wind Farm - Client Side

Nexif Energy is the owner and operator of the Lincoln Gap Wind Farm project, responsible for the development, construction and operational phases of the project. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team and be actively involved in overseeing the construction and installation of this iconic wind farm asset located in the Port Augusta area.

About the role:

Based in Melbourne you will report directly back to the Project Manager / Projects Director with the full responsibility to assist the owners team on overseeing the various construction and installation stages as the project evolves. You will be responsible for implementation, overseeing and supporting the integration of various operational systems including; SCADA, IT and market. 

Duties:

  • Represent the owner’s interests during construction, commissioning and operational phases
  • Report regularly on progress of the project operational systems / revenue
  • Interfacing and reporting to AEMO and other market regulators
  • Management of service contractors and balance of plant contractors
  • Have a good understand or power dispatch and system market systems
  • Have good IT skills, excel, word, power point,
  • Practice a safety-first culture

Skills and Experience: 

  • Tertiary qualification within relevant engineering discipline although not essential
  • Extensive experience working on Australian wind farm projects or power system
  • Extensive prior experience delivering EPC projects within an owner/clients prospective
  • Good understanding of the owner’s role within a project environment
  • Good understanding of power markets and trading
  • Excellent record keeping and construction management skills
  • Sound approach to reviewing technical specifications and contract documents
  • Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Passionate about Australia's renewable energy future
