Construction Engineer/Superintendent
Lincoln Gap Wind Farm - Client Side
Nexif Energy is the owner and operator of the Lincoln Gap Wind Farm Project, responsible for the development, construction and operational phases of the project. This is an exciting opportunity to join a high performing team and be actively involved in overseeing the construction and installation of this iconic wind farm asset located in the Port Augusta area.
About the role:
Based on site, you will report directly to the Project Manager with full responsibility of the various construction and installation stages as the project evolves, ensuring the contractors deliver a high quality and compliant asset throughout the construction and commissioning phases of the project.
Duties:
- Practice a safety-first culture throughout all phases of the project
- Represent Nexif’s interests during construction, commissioning and operational phases
- Report regularly on progress of the project
- Oversee, record and report on the various compliance and quality aspects on construction works
- Ensure EPC contract is executed in compliance with all contractual documents and management plans
- Manage local stakeholders as required
- Liaise with external engineering teams
Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualification within relevant engineering discipline although not essential
- Extensive experience working on Australian wind farm projects
- Extensive experience delivering EPC projects
- Good understanding of the owner’s role within a project environment
- Good understanding of the compliance and community engagement issues relating to wind farm projects within Australia
- Excellent record keeping and construction management skills
- Sound approach to reviewing technical specifications, management plans and contract documents
- Excellent analytical and interpersonal skills
- Passionate about Australia's renewable energy future
