The roleWith the recent announcement by the project partners that the Hydrogen Energy Supply Chain (HESC) project will be progressing into the next phases of implementation, GHD are looking to recruit a full-time Contracts and Procurement Lead, preferably to its Traralgon office.
Our Traralgon office is in a prime location, conveniently located only a short walk from the Traralgon Train Station. The office is a tight-knit team and you will get exposure to various areas of the business. GHD’s core purpose is to create lasting community benefit with our clients, and our people are the key to this success.
The HESC Procurement and Contracts Lead directs, controls and co-ordinates all procurement activity for engineering services, equipment, plant & materials for the project obtaining optimum performance in regard to cost, technical requirements, quality and delivery to satisfy project budgets and schedules.
The Procurement and Contracts Lead will also be responsible for reviewing of commercial arrangements and terms contained in contracts, including the prime contract and subcontracts. They will be an active member of the Project Management Group responsible for all procurement and contract activities on the LV HESC Project.
Could this be you?- University degree in Engineering or other relevant discipline with specialist training and development courses in Business Law, Finance and Accounting and related Business Subjects
- At least 15 years’ experience in Domestic and International Procurement activities with at least 5 years in a Senior Leadership Position having performed the Project Procurement Lead Role on Multi-Disciplined Projects
- Proven experience and knowledge of working the Worldwide Global Procurement Market.
- Proven knowledge of Companies Corporate Policies and Procedures as related to Contract Philosophy, Policy and Financial and Tax matters.
- Comprehensive understanding of Material Management Programmes and associated deliverables.
- Thorough understanding of Material Deliverables as related to Project needs and their integration into Project Control Tools.
- Detailed knowledge of Contract Law and its interpretation.
- In depth understanding of Expediting, Purchasing, Inspection, Traffic and Logistics, Customs Requirements, Warehousing, Material Management, Issuing, Reconciliation, E Purchasing, and the ability to raise a comprehensive set of global Procedures
