Air Liquide Australia currently has an opportunity for a CO2 Plant Engineer to help the Operations at our  Botany CO2 plant. You will be reporting directly to the Plant Manager and be responsible for safe, efficient and reliable operation of the plant, and to meet the set objectives and provide quality product for the customers.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of the plant.
  • Perform plant maintenance activities; specialist maintenance works, maintenance scheduling, raise work orders, enter data/reports into the computer maintenance management system and close off work orders when completed
  • Respond promptly to plant interruptions to production
  • Coordinate with the Bulk Supply Chain Team
  • Work closely with the Procurement team to ensure that materials & equipment for the plant are available on-time and as per specifications
  • Participate in investigation & root cause analysis of safety, quality and reliability issues and incidents 
  • Liaise with Raw Gas and Utilities Supplier to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of the CO2 Plan 

 The Successful Applicant:

  • Mechanical/ Chemical Engineering Degree 
  • Experience in Plant operations/ project work
  • Good knowledge of process controls, piping, valves, electrical & instrumentation plant equipment 
  • Experience with Root Cause Analysis.
