The company

This company are a tier 2 electrical contractor focusing on building services & communciations. They're relatively young, having been established just under 10 years ago, but have grown in scale and scope from delivering projects sub $100,000 to the current day delivery of up to the $15 million mark.

The Role

The role is complex. The company have historically contracted out their design work and have a strategy to bring it back in-house. Whilst they're specialists in electrical construction, to bring their design back in-house they're in need of a specialist in the design field. This a strategic & consultative position, helping to build a division within the business as well as actually deliver detailed design.
  
Key responsibilities

• Providing expert advice on current software packages used in Electrical Design
• collaborating with directors to build a strategy to bring back said electrical design in-house
• Produce detailed electrical building services designs for residential & commercial sectors
• Build a team of engineers and drafters
• Ensure short, medium & long term profitability of said team.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Senior Electrical Design Engineer you will have;

• Upwards of 5 years experience as an electrical design engineer
• Experience of working within an electrical building services contractor
• A solid understanding of software packages used in design
• A thorough knowledge of the NSW Electrical Construction market.
