Our Melbourne office is busy and growing and we are seeking an experienced CAD Designer to join our team. You'll be working on environmental and civil design projects using AutoCAD and 12D on a range of projects large and small in a collaborative team environment.
We are looking for a flexible person who is interested in drafting and 12d across multiple disciplines. You will embrace the variety of working with engineers, and are comfortable dealing with basic requirements as well as complex designs. You will support engineers, and take ownership of high quality deliverables from AutoCAD, as well as 12d.
You will be responsible for:
- Drawing setup, including accountability of electronic file storage; working tidy and efficiently with xrefs and producing drawings to company standards.
- Liaising with project managers about planning drawing sets, numbering, time allocation, achieving deadlines and any other pertinent issues.
Our preferred candidate will
- Experience working in engineering and/or environmental consulting - Geotechnical experience essential.
- Have good attention to detail
- Be a proficient user of AutoCAD
- Experience in 12d design
- Experience in both 2D and 3D design work (advantageous)
- Flexibility to work across multi-disciplines (Geotechnical/Civil/Environmental)
- Preparing engineering drawings which accurately reflect the design intent, are dimensionally correct and easy to read
